1937	Tsunezo Makino,started the business at the present location,aspecializing in the manufacture of the No.1 Knee-type Vertical Milling Machine.
1942	The Company name was changed to "Makino Vertical Milling Machine",and Masatoshi shimizu,now chairman of the Board of Directors,joined the management.
1951	Reorganized as a stock company with a capital of 3 million yen.
1953	Developed the super-precision Univereal Outter & Tool Grinder.
1956	No.1 Turret Type Vertical Milling Machine Series K,adopting the unit system,was developed.Developed Japan's first magnetictape N/C vertical Milling Machine.
1961	The change of the company name to the present "Making Milling Machine Co,.Ltd"
1964	Became listed in the Second Stock Market in the Tokyo Stock Exchange.(Capital:￥200,000,000.)
1966	Developed the Machining Center,first of its kind in Japan,and exhibited it at the 3rd Japan Internetional Machine Tool Fair.
1969	Start of the sale-by-agent system for better sales setup.
1971	Listed in the First Stock Market in both Tokyo and Osaka stock Exchange.(Capital:￥1,000,000,000)
1972	Developed the "Production System by A/C Machining Center through Data Communication System." Developed the "Transfer Line through A/C Machining Center".
1973	Developed the "Tape Center" Automatic N/C tape Generating Machine,with 3D automatic co-ordinate measuring capability.
1975	Established overseas corporation "Makino U.S.A Inc." in order to handle and promote direct sale to North and South America.Went into sales tie-up with Gildemeisrer Ag.F.R Germany,with regard to Machining Center.
1976	Developed Bed-Type Vertical N/C Milling Machine(FNC series),and Vertical Machining Center(FNC -A series).Establish overseas corporation "Makino Europe S.A."
1977	To organize and complete after service facilities "Makino Technical Service Co,.Ltd."established in Tokyo
1978	"Makino Lease Co,.Ltd."established in Tokyo.Participated in the capital of "Heidenreich and Harbeck GmbH," F.R.Germany.
1980	Developed N/C Electical Discharge Machine.
1981	Formed a new joint company "Lablond Makino,"which is acting as a stronger base for sales and manufacturing in U.S.A.
1982	Developed Automatic Die & Mold Machining System"DMS"
1983	"FMS Factory" starts operation.Delivered the 20 thousandthe K-Series No.1 Turret Type Vertical Milling Machine.
1984	Developed 5-axis controlled Machining Center, High Speed Graphite Machining NC Milling Machine and exhibited them at 12th Japan International Machine Tool Fair.
1987	Fuji Katsuyama Factory started.
1989	Develops Horizontal Machining Center A55.
1990	Makino's new R & D center.
1991	Newly developed large-size HNC3016-2T die/mod machining center with twin-table specification.
1992	Developed Die & Mold Machining Center MCD1513,5-Axis Machining Center MC1010-5x,and FF Machining for High-Speed and High-Quality Milling.
1993	Developed Large-size Machine Center MCF Series,Wire Profiler W-PG1,and Wire Electional Discharge Machine for Ultra-precision Machining of Hard Metals UPH-1,FF Machining System SF64,and High Efficiency Machining Center A77.
1994	Developed New concept Machining Center J55 and High Performance Vertical Machining Center GF6.
1995	Developed 3-D Die& Mold CAD/CAM System UNIGRAPHICS/EYS. Vertical Machining Center V55,HQSF El ectrical Discharge Machine,High Accuracy Sybmerged Wire Electrical Discharge Machine U32K,U53K

Makino Asia Pte. Ltd

The company was incorporated on 23rd May, 1937 under the name of LeBlond Pte Ltd which was subsequently changed to LeBlond Asia Pte Ltd in 1974. The productioncommenced in 1974 with sub unit assembly and Components for final assembly into
conventional engine lathes by its then parent company in the United States.

In September 1987, Makino Milling Company, a world renowned milling and EDM machine manufacturing , acquired the majority stake in LeBlond Machine Tool Company of USA. To reflect Makino's participation, the company changed it name to LeBlond
Makino Asia Pte Ltd.

The official opening was held on the 16th June, 1992 for new expansion and also for thepurpose of using the new name, Makino Asia Pte LTD.

The entry into new era of CNC machine tool was realized in 1984, with the launch of CNC Vertical Machining Center model FNC40-A20 in Singapore.
The first Singapore designed Vertical Machining Center Model was FX650-A20.In orderto service the Die mold market, the company also secured the production of Electrical Discharge Machine Model EE3, EE6, EE32, EE64, U32 and U53.

Today, Makino Asia has branches and sales offices in India, headquarters in Bangalore, Madras, Pune, New Delhi, Indonesia-Jakarta, Philippines-Manila and China Kunshan, Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Suzhou, Ningbo, Hangzhou.

Makino Milling Machine CO., Ltd

Mr.Tsunezo Makino founded the company in 1937 specializing in manufacturing No.1 Type vertical milling machines. Makino developed Japan first Numerical Control milling machine in 1958 and subsequently develop Japan first Machining Center in1966.

The company wad listed on the first Section of the Tokyo and Osaka Exchanges on 1971 with capitalization of 1 billion yen.

In 1978, acquired an equality of interest in Heidenrein & Harbeck Werkzeugmaschinefabrik GmbH in Germany and launched a local production of Makino machine tools in Europe. Later in 1981 it purchased LeBlond Machine Tool Company in the USA and change it name to LeBlond Makino Machine Tool Company and launched local production of Makino machine tools.

In 1980 Makino develop it first Numerical Control Electrical Discharge machine and rolled out DMS Commercial Automatic Die and Mold Machining System.

Makino J Co., Ltd. was established in 1993 to provide flexible manufacturing solution to Automobile industry, Aerospace industry and other production focus industry.
